This role reports to the Senior Group Incident & Disaster Recovery Manager and will support the delivery of a robust Disaster Recovery Testing process across the Bank.
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, the role holder is responsible for supporting with the design, development and embedding of the group wide Disaster Recovery testing Framework and processes across the Bank. The role holder will be responsible for:
- The categorisation of key applications to understand the requirement for DR testing.
- Production and monitoring of test playbooks and scenario testing.
- The production of monthly management information and related reporting.
- Communicating with stakeholders across the Bank, providing DR updates.
- Ensuring the DR Testing standard is maintained and operationalised across the Group.
- Providing SME knowledge, training, and support to business units.
Typical Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Senior Manager with the design, development and embedding of group wide DR testing framework and strategies.
- Identifying and implementing enhancements to the DR Testing policy and Framework.
- Regular review, categorisation and monitoring of applications ensuring that all applications and scenarios that meet the criteria for DR testing are tested.
- Leading and supporting stakeholders to ensure effective and timely DR tests, working with technical and Business teams to produce and implement the necessary plans and playbooks.
- Supporting the business in the development of Business verification scripts to ensure DR tests are successful.
- Maintaining and updating business communications channels linked to DR testing and output.
- Engaging with 3rd party suppliers and key internal stakeholders across the business, technology, business operations and Change management.
- Producing or collating post-test reports with results of the test and agreed actions, actively tracking these actions to completion.
- Providing accurate, timely and relevant management reporting.
- Oversight and facilitation of 3rd party DR assurance to ensure compliance with the DR testing policy.
- Ensuring that the DR testing Framework is considered and operationalised as part of projects and service introduction.
- Ensuring a continuous improvement mindset across the Controls COO team, identifying opportunities to enhance processes.
- Maintaining knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and developments to DR testing capabilities.
- Prioritising demands and delivering in a fast moving and challenging environment.
- Working closely with Business Continuity teams to ensure processes and expectations are aligned and consistent.
May be required to work OOH to support DR testing.
