Job Title: Internal Audit VP – Asset & Wealth Manager – Private Wealth Management

Working schedule:

• 5 days on-site (non-negotiable)

Engagement: 6 months contract to hire

Day to Day:

Our client, a global leader in the financial services industry, is seeking an Internal Audit Vice President to join their Wealth Management Internal Audit team. This role focuses on private wealth management, particularly for ultra-high-net-worth individuals (ULHWI), and retail banking, including the firm's Marcus platform. The ideal candidate will lead and expand the Asset and Wealth Management Internal Audit team, conduct walkthroughs, follow up on audit issues, and engage in discussions with senior stakeholders. They will also participate in initiatives to enhance Internal Audit processes and infrastructure, manage multiple audit engagements, and develop a deep understanding of business areas, products, and functions. Additionally, the candidate will prepare and present audit findings to senior management and business clients, ensuring audit fieldwork is well-focused and documented to high standards. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills are essential for this role.

MUST HAVE:

7+ years of experience in a public accounting, audit (ideally internal audit), or a related control function role, within the financial services industry

Knowledge and expertise of risks and associated controls with Private Wealth Management and/or Retail Banking

Understanding of compliance program components, risk and control processes

Ability to identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environment

Experience monitoring management's implementation of control measures

Very strong written and verbal communication

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills

PLUSSES:

Compliance or quality assurance testing experience

Relevant certification or industry accreditation (e.g., CAMS, CIA)

ACCA/ACA Qualified

Graduate degree, preferably in a related subject; advanced degree an additional bonus

Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment

Accurate, accountable and able to multitask while managing both time and work load

Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Able to work under minimal supervision on individual tasks or on team projects
