Insight Global is seeking a Special Hull Treatment Mechanic to help support a federal client. The Special Hull Treatment Mechanic or SHT Mechanic is responsible for the removal and installation of hull treatment systems and non‑metallic coatings on submarines. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and precision in a highly regulated shipyard environment.

Requirements

  • Must have hands‑on ability to perform tile/carpentry‑type work, including use of manual and power tools and building containments.
  • Must be capable of using troweling tools, and operating equipment specific to shaping and detailing material edges.
  • Must be able to identify, measure, and prepare materials accurately.
  • Must be able to read and follow technical documents, including procedures, drawings, manuals, and safety instructions.
