The ideal candidate will work as a Senior Solutions Architect in the Engineering Division. The individual will be responsible for designing solutions for varied transformational and operational risk initiatives across all the Index Platform estate. The candidate should have specialization in designing web applications, middleware/API layers, and AWS. The selected candidate is required to provide technical expertise, perform PoCs, and take ownership and responsibilities in end-to-end IT project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Produce and promote high-quality solution designs and application architectures aligned with the Group's architecture principles and strategy.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to produce current state / target state architectures, drive transition plans, and create roadmaps.
- Specialize in designing enterprise-level web applications across multiple technology stacks such as Angular, Java/C#.NET, and Python.
- Possess strong experience with AWS Stack, SQL/No-SQL implementations.
- Champion policies, procedures, and best practice design principles.
- Analyze business requirements to identify flexible and pragmatic design changes for development and production architectures.
- Act as a technical consultant, providing technical knowledge, coaching/mentoring, and leveraging industry trends and best practices.
- Participate in vendor selection exercises, gap analysis activities, and work with vendors to understand and influence their roadmaps to support strategic objectives.
- Balance business drivers with the purity of design.
- Facilitate and develop PoCs to demonstrate new concepts or technology choices where required.
- Work closely with group functions such as infrastructure and information security to build relationships and become a trusted point of contact.
- Prior experience with BPM implementation is highly advantageous.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in a science or IT-based discipline.
- Proven experience in technical architecture covering design patterns and platforms such as UIs, micro-services, data lakes, APIs, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong familiarity with formal design and SDLC methodologies, particularly Agile/SAFe.
- Significant experience designing solutions in distributed, highly resilient environments (Microservices Architecture, EDD-Event Driven Architecture, SOA, DDD-Domain Driven Design).
- Experience in integrating enterprise application solutions.
- Understanding of information security concerns and best practices.
- Cloud solution design and architecture experience, both native and IaaS, ideally on AWS.
- Experience managing design dependencies in a highly complex, matrix-structured organization.
