Insight Global is looking for a Senior UX designer to join one of the largest investment firms located in Birmingham for a 12 month contract. The chosen candidate will sit within the Global Banking and Markets side of the business largely focused on the agency loans division. The chosen candidate will be involved in the overall development and enhancement of their current digital loans platform used by the firms investment bankers and loan agents. As a UX designer with our Agency Loans division, you’ll play a critical role in collaborating with product management, engineering and operational functions and transform complex, workflows and business processes into intuitive, efficient digital experiences. You will be responsible for developing the structure, and flow of their digital solutions and products. You will conduct user interviews and usability tests, and documenting user needs, pain-points, and frictions along with business requirements to deliver insights, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes. You will also have a solid grasp of user research, information architecture and interaction design, and can clearly communicate to teams and stakeholders at all levels on how those factors will influence outcomes.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and strategists to deliver impactful solutions to design challenges.
- Collaborate with team and stakeholders to explore solutions and develop conceptual designs to test and refine with users.
- Bring the research to life through customer journeys, system maps, user stories and wireframes.
- Engage with users to optimization existing functionality, identify high value features and bring strategic value and insight to the product roadmap.
- Communicate visually through storyboards, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and final design concepts
- Facilitate ideation sessions and support workshop preparation as well as immersion sessions with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Bring human centred design to the core of the product development process through facilitation and collaboration.
- Iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core/new functions and features.
- Liaise regularly with stakeholders to ensure that designs meet their requirements and core business objectives.
Must haves:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in user experience design, digital products design, usability testing, future visioning, and strategy development
- A good command of design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Axure RP and Sketch.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative user research.
- Experience of delivering work within an existing design system or worked on developing a new design system.
- Experience translating UX metrics to commercial metrics
- A portfolio of work containing strong human-centered design capabilities across a diverse range of projects that demonstrates strong capabilities in visual design and composition including typography, spacing, placement, hierarchy, and usability.
- Experience with Jira and confluence
- Previous experience working in an agile production environments, owning detailed deliverables needed for software engineering to execute.
- Previous relevant experience working in financial services
- Undergraduate degree ideally in Design, Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Possess excellent stakeholder management skills and strong experience with consensus building
Plusses:
- Previous experience working in start-ups, and proven ability to show disruptive thinking
- Experience of designing for complex data heavy UI or financial software is a plus.
