Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior React Developer to join one of our enterprise clients. This role will be responsible for the development across front-end web-based applications. Must Haves: 7+ years of experience developing front-end web-based applications Extensive hands-on experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript Experience developing new code, as well as re-engineering legacy code Experience working on applications with accessibility requirements (508-compliance) Experience working in an agile methodology Daily stand ups, 2 week sprints, participate in sprint retrospectives Willingness to learn new technologies quickly High attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet and exceed business requirements Great communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work both in a collaborative team environment but also as an individual contributor Plusses: Experience with Electron Framework Media Industry Experience Day to day: Insight Global is seeking a Senior React Developer to join our team in Heathrow/Hounslow area. The team is expected to be on-site 2-days a week, working core hours of 9AM-5:30PM GMT. Candidate’s will be responsible for building front-end, web-based applications by developing new code to enhance features and functionality, as well as, re-engineering legacy code for existing complex applications. You will support the ongoing operations and maintenance of multiple projects at any given time. This role will require updates and maintenance to existing applications, as well as supporting the architecture and development of new software solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience coding React, JavaScript, and Typescript. You will utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence for documentation and to cut down the team’s backlog of tickets. This team exclusively works in an agile environment so candidates must be familiar working in an agile methodology with daily stand-ups, expectations met during 2-week sprints, and collaboration during sprint retrospectives. Candidates must come from an enterprise-level institution with a good understanding of system design. Candidates should have exceptional problem solving capabilities from a software development perspective, as well as a deep understanding of software development techniques, concepts, and principals. This role works in a collaborative team environment with the expectation of individual contribution among all skill levels. Ability to pick up and learn new technologies is highly recommended.
