We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join the Post Trade Change Management group for a leading financial services client for a contract opportunity based in New York. This role requires a candidate with strong core project management capabilities, able to lead multiple initiatives across operations, engineering, regulatory, and client-driven projects.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, structured, and confident in managing stakeholders without the need for handholding. As a Project Manager, you will lead and deliver a variety of strategic initiatives including client demand projects, AI‑driven solutions, regulatory commitments such as T+1, and IT delivery programs.
You will be responsible for driving project planning, execution, and delivery across cross‑functional teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards. Strong stakeholder management is essential, as you will engage with teams across the organization to communicate progress, manage expectations, and resolve issues.
You will also identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies while supporting both operations and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Must‑haves:
- 4 to 7 years’ experience as a Project Manager in a financial institution
- Strong background in operations and engineering project support
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal oversight
- Experience with regulatory projects (T+1 experience is a strong plus)
- Familiarity with AI and IT delivery projects is advantageous
- Structured, detail‑oriented, and delivery‑focused
Plusses:
- PMP, Prince2, or similar project management certification
- Experience working in post-trade environments or change management functions
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
