Insight Global is looking for an L3 Production Support Engineer to join a large financial services organisation in London for a contract until the end of the year. The chosen candidate will work in an integral part of the business, providing end-to-end production support for their Front-Office operations and trading systems, ensuring applications and systems are seamless for the internal users, such as operations and traders.

The candidate will work on debugging and troubleshooting technical reported system/user issues efficiently, minimizing impact on business operations. In addition, they will be analyzing incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures as well as engaging in frequent problem management, ensuring long-term stability of systems.

This role involves interacting with stakeholders of various seniority levels, and hence, strong written and verbal communication skills are imperative for the success of this role. This is an Inside IR35 contract and onsite 5x a week.

Must haves:

  • Experience in a production support/engineering role
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g. java, python)
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to solve complex technical issues
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-pressure work environment
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical terms to functional verbiage
  • Strong stakeholder management experience

Plusses:

  • Prior experience supporting front-office systems is highly desirable, but the candidate must demonstrate a willingness to embrace the challenges of such a role
  • Ticketing system experience
  • Financial services experience
