Insight Global are seeking a HR Generalist (People Operations) for a global, fast-growing organisation supporting operations across the UK, Germany, and Switzerland. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative HR function and contribute to both operational and strategic people initiatives across multiple regions. This position requires 1 day minimum onsite per week in London, UK for an 8-month contract (Inside IR35).
The HR Generalist will support a range of core HR activities, with a strong focus on performance management, probation processes, and cross-border HR operations. This role will work closely with stakeholders across multiple countries and contribute to ongoing HR projects, particularly relating to working time and policy reviews.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage performance and probation processes across the UK and Germany
- Provide HR support in both English and German, including documentation and application forms
- Advise on labour laws, employee policies, and holiday entitlements across regions
- Lead and support HR projects, particularly around working time and process improvements
- Partner with international teams to ensure compliance and consistency in HR practices
- Engage with works councils in Germany and support related processes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
- Strong experience supporting HR processes across both Germany and the UK
- Working knowledge of labour laws, policies, and employee practices in both countries
- Hands-on experience working with German works councils
- Confidence using AI tools and leveraging technology creatively to improve HR processes
- Knowledge of Swiss labour laws and HR practices
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent) in the UK
