Insight Global is seeking an AI Engineer, AI/ML Tech Lead, and GenAI Prompt Engineer for one of their premier Energy Trading clients in London. This person will be part of a program to build new LLM POCs for multiple new use cases for AI/ML within the Crude and Products Trading division.

We have multiple contract roles open in London or Houston —including:

• AI/ML Tech Lead
• GenAI Prompt Engineer

Each role is part of a major initiative to build LLM-powered tools for their trading division, with projects ranging from supply chain optimisation to intelligent document parsing.

Day to Day:

Responsible for design and refine prompts for LLMs to maximise accuracy, relevance, and contextual understanding across diverse use cases. Conduct prompt experiments and A/B testing to evaluate model responses and improve performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prompt engineering into AI-driven products and workflows. Analyse model outputs and user feedback to iteratively improve prompt strategies. Develop reusable prompt templates and libraries for internal use. Stay current with advancements in generative AI, prompt tuning, and fine-tuning techniques. Contribute to documentation, best practices, and internal knowledge sharing.

AI/ML Tech Lead –

He or she will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML and GenAI solutions across business domains. This person will take full ownership of solution delivery, from architecture to deployment and post-production support. He or she will build robust data pipelines and platforms to support model training, inference, and monitoring and evaluate and integrate state-of-the-art LLMs, foundation models, and GenAI frameworks into enterprise applications. This role will be responsible for heavy stakeholder management as well as team and project management.

Design, test, and refine prompts to optimise the performance of LLMs across various tasks (e.g., summarisation, Q&A, content generation, reasoning). Develop prompt libraries and reusable templates for internal and external use cases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate prompt engineering into product workflows and AI pipelines. Analyse model outputs and user feedback to iteratively improve prompt effectiveness and reliability. Stay current with the latest research and advancements in prompt engineering, LLMs, and GenAI. Contribute to internal documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
