Insight Global is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a Tier-1 bank's global payments technology programme, supporting release management across a highly complex, scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. This individual will work within a central release governance team responsible for coordinating delivery across 41 applications supported by 80+ Agile teams globally. The role will focus on ensuring Agile processes are followed, optimising team delivery, and driving consistency across release trains operating across multiple time zones (Singapore to US West Coast). Please note, this is a hybrid position requiring you to be on-site 3 days a week in Chester. This is a 12 month rolling contract (Inside IR35).
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile delivery within a SAFe framework across multiple release trains
- Ensure adherence to Scrum principles, Agile best practices, and release governance processes
- Drive team velocity, sprint planning, and capacity management
- Support coordination of 3–4 production releases per weekend, including unplanned releases
- Work closely with Product Owners, Release Management, and engineering teams to unblock delivery
- Monitor and improve Agile maturity across teams
- Ensure correct use of Agile tooling (Jira, Confluence) and process documentation
- Communicate effectively across global stakeholders and time zones
Must-Haves:
- Experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise environments
- Strong experience working within SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
- Prior experience within banking / financial services (ideally payments)
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery, Scrum ceremonies, and release processes
- Experience driving team performance (velocity, capacity, delivery metrics)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across global teams
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
Plusses:
- Experience working within release management or release governance teams
- Exposure to large-scale distributed systems (40+ applications / multiple teams)
- Experience working on global programmes across APAC, EMEA, and US
