Responsibilities
- Thawing and recovering primary cells from donors
- Maintenance of primary cell cultures
- Freezing and banking primary cells
- Registering and tracking samples, including using an internal database for Human Biological Samples
- Coordinating requests for cell supply
- Seeding and maintaining Transwell plates for ALI (Air-Liquid Interface) cultures, including microscope evaluation of cell differentiation
- Creating and completing electronic notebooks for data capture
- Being aware of relevant safety risk assessments and processes
- Flow cytometry analysis of cultures
- Using automation for plate creation and maintenance
- Co-culturing ALI Transwell plates
This role is located in Stevenage, UK and will be fully onsite.
Must haves
- B.A / B.S with 4+ years related experience
- Hands-on experience with cell culture techniques, especially with primary cells
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and contamination control
- Ability to work independently and manage long-term culture timelines

- Experience with cell culture miniaturization and small-scale assays
