Insight Global are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Manager to lead critical technology initiatives within a finance function. This role combines technical leadership with people management, driving the successful execution of enterprise-scale projects across SAP BTP, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Cloud Connector (SCC). You will play a key role in aligning technical solutions with business and finance objectives, while managing a team and engaging with senior stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
Please note, this is a fully remote (UK based) position and a 4 month Inside IR35 contract.
Key Responsibilities- Operate in a hybrid capacity (approx. 30% hands-on, 70% managerial), balancing technical oversight with team leadership.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic, finance-focused technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Provide technical direction across SAP BTP, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Cloud Connector (SCC).
- Oversee application development and reporting solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and quality.
- Manage and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a high-performance and accountable delivery culture.
- Act as a key escalation point, proactively identifying risks and ensuring timely resolution.
- Deliver clear, concise updates and insights to senior stakeholders, including progress, risks, and recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing delivery processes and leveraging new tools/technologies.
- Ensure adherence to best practices across architecture, governance, and deployment standards.
- Strong years of experience in SAP or enterprise technology environments.
- Deep expertise in: SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and CAPm Experience.
- Strong background in application development.
- Experience working with AI-powered tools, ideally SAP Joule or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people management, including coaching and performance management.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, with strong communication and reporting skills.
- Experience managing escalations, risks, and dependencies in enterprise environments.
- Proactive, delivery-oriented mindset with a focus on ownership and accountability.

- Functional knowledge of finance processes, particularly within SAP environments.
- Experience with SAP FICO modules.
- Familiarity with S/4HANA architecture and transformations.
