Insight Global is looking for a Senior Backend AWS Engineer to join our team for a 6 month contract. This role will be responsible for building scalable applications using JavaScript and TypeScript, and architecting event-driven Serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
Additional responsibilities include supporting end-to-end software development, testing your own code, and continuous integration. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a team, but also as an individual contributor. This role is based in London with the requirement of being onsite 2 days per week, working hours are 9:30-5:30PM GMT. Candidates must have excellent communication and documentation skills. Must be comfortable working occasional nights and weekends to avoid disruption.
Must haves:- Experience in Backend Software Development using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience as an AWS software developer
- AWS Serverless, Lambda, CDK, Step Functions
- Proven ability to refactor and write performant and clean code
- Experience writing and testing your own code
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with CI/CD in an agile team
