Local authority in London requires an interim Health & Safety Lead for an initial period of 3-6 months.
Rate: £550 per day (Umbrella)
Contract: 3–6 months
Location: Hybrid (2 days in the London office, 3 days remote)
Reporting to: Head of Corporate Health & Safety
Over a 3–6 month period, the interim will be responsible for:
- Establishing a clear baseline of Health & Safety maturity across the Council
- Progressing priority work aligned to an ISO 45001-style management system
- Strengthening visibility, consistency and engagement with services and Directorates
- Designing practical, deliverable frameworks for permanent postholders
- Creating a structured handover and roadmap for continued implementation.
