The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Housing Team Leader to lead and support a front-line team delivering high-quality housing and support services to vulnerable young people.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for achieving positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day service delivery, ensure safeguarding and compliance standards are maintained, coach and develop staff, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to deliver person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities of a Housing Team Leader
- Lead, supervise and motivate a team to deliver high-quality support services.
- Manage staff performance, recruitment, training and development.
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management and service compliance.
- Ensure support plans are outcome-focused and regularly reviewed.
- Build effective relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.
- Monitor KPIs, service performance and quality standards.
- Manage incidents, complaints and complex cases.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and psychologically informed working environment.
About You
Essential
- Experience leading teams within supported housing, homelessness, social care or youth services.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, housing legislation and support planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions.
Desirable
- Relevant management or health and social care qualification.
- Experience working with young people with complex needs.
- Knowledge of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and trauma-informed practice.
