Job Summary: As a key member of the Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS) Senior Leadership Team, the Associate Director of Estates leads the strategic and operational delivery of Estates services across multiple sites. This role oversees the Heads of Estates (East & West) and is responsible for ensuring high-performing, compliant, and cost-effective services aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-site Estates operations, driving performance, safety, and service excellence.
  • Advise senior leadership and the Board on Estates strategy, compliance, and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement business and financial plans to support growth and efficiency.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality customer-focused service.
  • Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Trust partners.
  • Ensure effective leadership in health & safety, emergency preparedness, and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Estates, Facilities, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Substantial senior-level experience in estates management within healthcare or commercial sectors.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and budget management skills.
  • Professional membership (e.g. CIOB, RICS, IWFM) desirable.
  • Track record of delivering change, service improvement, and high team performance.
