Overview
We are supporting a large NHS Trust with the recruitment of a Senior Estates Technician (Band 6). The successful candidate will be an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Technician with strong technical capability and supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Undertake complex diagnostics, repairs, and PPM on building services systems.
- Participate in the Estates on-call rota.
- Respond to emergency incidents including lift entrapments, fire alarms and plant failures.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to technicians and apprentices.
- Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and Trust standards.
- Support service improvement and engineering best practice.
What we're looking for
- Approved apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- ONC/HNC or equivalent technical qualification.
- Strong experience maintaining complex estates systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering schematics and documentation.
- Strong IT, communication and leadership skills.
