Overview

We are supporting a large NHS Trust with the recruitment of a Senior Estates Technician (Band 6). The successful candidate will be an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Technician with strong technical capability and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake complex diagnostics, repairs, and PPM on building services systems.
  • Participate in the Estates on-call rota.
  • Respond to emergency incidents including lift entrapments, fire alarms and plant failures.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to technicians and apprentices.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and Trust standards.
  • Support service improvement and engineering best practice.

What we're looking for

  • Approved apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Strong experience maintaining complex estates systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering schematics and documentation.
  • Strong IT, communication and leadership skills.
