Principal Consultant – Local Authority Property
Location: London (hybrid/flexible) | Employer: Insight Executive
We’re growing our Local Authority Property practice and looking for an experienced Principal Consultant to lead and scale a high-performing desk across Surveying, Housing, Town Planning, and Building Services. If you thrive on building deep client relationships, delivering multiple recruitment campaigns, and shaping a market, this is for you.
What you’ll do
- Own and grow a Local Authority Property portfolio, winning and delivering senior appointments and project teams.
- Build long-term relationships with hiring leaders across councils, ALMOs and public bodies.
- Create and execute sourcing strategies that reach passive talent as well as active applicants.
- Run end-to-end assignments (perm & interim): briefing, market mapping, search, assessment and offer management.
- Carefully match, screen, and reference candidates to ensure long-term fit and measurable impact.
- Champion best practice across the team.
- Hit personal and company targets while modelling our values of integrity, inclusion and accountability.
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years’ recruitment success (public sector property/estates/FM or closely related).
- Credibility across one or more of: Surveying, Housing, Town Planning, Building Services.
- Strong commercial mindset and proven track record in business development.
- Outstanding relationship building, communication, and time-management skills.
