We are supporting the appointment of a Business Development Lead for a leading integrated facilities management business, focused on growth across major private sector clients, including technology-led and corporate environments. This is a strategic, relationship-led sales role, working across new business, organic growth and retention, with a focus on complex, integrated FM opportunities typically valued at £5m +.
You will take ownership of the full business development lifecycle, from early-stage market engagement and opportunity shaping, through to bid strategy, contract close and handover into operations. You will be supported by established bid, commercial, marketing, SME and operational teams, allowing you to focus on what matters most: building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs and converting high-value opportunities.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in FM, workplace services, outsourced services or wider B2B service-led sales, who understands how to navigate complex decision-making environments and position integrated solutions with confidence.
You will be involved in:
- Building and converting a strong pipeline of private sector FM opportunities
- Leading sales activity across new business, renewals and organic growth
- Shaping client solutions across integrated FM, not single-service contracts
- Working with bid, commercial and operational teams to bring opportunities to close
- Developing strong relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Supporting market strategy, target identification and CRM discipline
- Ensuring a smooth transition from sales into operational delivery
You will bring:
- A proven track record in business development, sales or commercial growth
- Experience within integrated FM, outsourced services or a related service-led environment
- Confidence managing opportunities from early engagement through to contract close
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Commercial awareness, resilience and a clear results focus
- The ability to work independently while bringing internal teams with you
This is a strong opportunity for a commercially driven FM sales professional who enjoys long-cycle, relationship-led business development and wants to play a visible role in securing major private sector contracts.
