We are seeking an OIL or LPG OPERATOR (Physical Operations not Financial) to support trading operations and ensure smooth execution of contracts.
The role involves close collaboration with traders, shipping, finance, legal, and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence across spot and term contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, including contract review, documentation, insurance, payment security, survey, and agency appointments.
- Implement and manage trading operations for both spot and term contracts.
- Liaise with terminal owners, counterparties, and other stakeholders to ensure timely loading and communication of cargo nominations.
- Enter and update trade information in the ERP system; contribute to system enhancements.
- Manage trade finance and billing activities, including preparation and verification of invoices.
- Update and monitor demurrage claims in the MAF system.
- Maintain accurate operational databases for reporting and analysis.
- Ensure proper electronic filing and documentation for all contracts.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Traders, Shipping, Contracts/Legal, Finance, refineries/terminals, HQ, etc.) and build strong relationships with counterparties.
- Support team effectiveness by adhering to policies and contributing to a positive, productive work environment.
Requirements
- Background in operations, commodities, or related fields preferred.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive team player.
