We are currently seeking an experienced and meticulous Physical Operations Executive to join our dynamic team.
The Role
We are looking for a sharp Operations Executive with hands‑on experience in both LPG and Fuel Oil to be the central point for executing and managing our trading activities. You will ensure the seamless execution of contracts from pre‑loading to final discharge, playing a critical role in the backbone of our trading desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end operations for spot and term contracts for LPG and Fuel Oil products.
- Scrutinize contracts and handle all preparation activities including payment security, documentation, insurance, and surveyor/agency appointment.
- Serve as the key liaison with external stakeholders such as terminal operators, counterparties, and surveyors to ensure timely product loading and discharge.
- Ensure accurate and timely cargo nominations and updates within the company’s ERP system.
- Oversee and ensure the smooth running of trade finance, billing, and demurrage calculation and analysis.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams including Chartering, Vetting, Legal, and Finance.
- Maintain a daily database of operational information for management reporting and analysis.
Who You Are
- You have proven experience as an Operations Executive, Senior Operator, or similar role within a physical oil/products trading environment.
- You possess essential hands‑on experience with both LPG and Fuel Oil cargoes.
- You are highly proficient in the intricacies of shipping operations, documentation, and trade finance (Letters of Credit, etc.).
- You have a strong understanding of demurrage calculations and claims.
- You are adept at using an ERP system for trade lifecycle management; experience with system implementation is a strong plus.
- You are an excellent communicator, able to build productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- You are detail‑oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast‑paced, international setting.
