A great opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and growing manufacturing company as a CMM Operator and Quality Inspector. The advertised rates are PAYE hourly values. Weekly pay.
Position summary: The role is a full-time position working within the manufacturing team. The applicant must be a good team player and have excellent time management skills to enable them to manage their own workload within a high demand environment. Flexibility is essential to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities:
- Loading CMM with manufactured parts
- Running CMM
- Prepping units for inspection
- End of line inspection of product
- Good mobility due to physical demands of the job
- Be able to use computer system, Word, Excel and Carrier websites
- Must be organised and able to work under pressure
- Must be able to manage changing priorities
- Be a team player but also able to work on own initiative
- Good attention to detail, understand the need to check and over check work
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers and transport carriers
- Must be flexible and dependable and prepared to work shifts as required
- Operators will be expected to work overtime at short notice to meet customer demand and to provide cover for Friday afternoons
- Operators may be expected to move between departments within the same shift
- Operators will be expected to work shifts when required (am/pm)
- Any other duties as required
Requirements:
Education: No formal qualification required but would expect an excellent level of English & Maths.
Industry Experience: Previous experience of the Logistics process would be advantageous.
Full time. Hours: Initially: Monday to Thursday: 7:45 am - 4:30 pm, Friday: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm however the role will most likely move onto a split rotating shift of earlies and lates, so having access to transport which can get you to the site for a 6 am start is critical.
