Our client, an industry poerhouse is seeking a suitably qualified skilled CNC machinist to join their team. The role involves machining high precision components from titanium, steel, and aluminum, working to tight tolerances and quality standards in a production or aerospace/precision engineering environment. Programming is not a requirement as all shop programs are produced off-line by our Manufacturing Engineering department, but some ISO/EIA programming experience may be useful in out of hours trouble shooting but not a core requirement. This role will require the individual to work a shift pattern, EARLYS/LATES rotating, and overtime when requested. The role requires the candidate to be self-certified and a quality stamp holder after qualifying period. Key Responsibilities Set, operate, and adjust Mazak CNC machines (3 axis and 4 axis), including mill turn centres. Machine complex components to tight tolerances and high surface finish requirements Work with difficult and exotic materials including titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications Operators will not normally see a cad model in usual operating conditions.
