A reputable North West manufacturing engineering business is looking for an experienced Production Manager/Supervisor to join its skilled team, within a friendly, fast paced and clean working environment. The business has a strong focus on developing its people with the potential to further their careers. Salary is competitive and a generous holiday entitlement of 33 days including bank holidays. 36 hour working week covered over 4 days working 7:00am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday AND with a performance bonus paid every six months. Also includes a benefits package with access to discounts from leading retailers.

Role details as follows:

  • Production Supervisor/Manager Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
  • Previous supervisory experience essential and must be within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ideal candidate will be a timed served sheet metal worker / fabricator.
  • Ability to read / understand drawings and aerospace specifications.
  • Key process knowledge: material cutting (CNC rout or punch), heat treatment, forming (hand form, rubber press, press-brake), various inspection methods.
  • Key skills: MRP, problem solving, effective decision making, waste elimination, continuous improvement identification, energetic and forward thinking, excellent communication and people management skills.
