Inside Track is building the philanthropic base behind a new form of insider-led change. It works with experienced people inside powerful industries to surface what they can see about the norms, incentives and structures shaping poor social and environmental outcomes, then helps that insight reach the people and institutions best placed to act.

Inside Track is independently funded. It does not take corporate, government or lobbyist money. Aligned philanthropy is central to its independence, credibility and long-term impact.

We are looking for someone with experience in high-net-worth, major donor or individual philanthropy fundraising who can help build the practical donor pipeline behind this work.

The Philanthropy Manager will support donor research, prospect mapping, pipeline tracking, briefing materials, donor communications, stewardship and the coordination that makes thoughtful relationship-led fundraising work.

This is a hands-on building role: a chance to help create the fundraising infrastructure for a young organisation with a distinctive model and serious ambition.

Responsibilities

  • Research high-net-worth individuals, family offices, donor networks and aligned philanthropists;
  • Help identify, qualify and prioritise prospective donors;
  • Prepare donor briefings, research notes, approaches and follow-up materials;
  • Draft donor communications, proposals, stewardship updates and concise cases for support;
  • Support donor cultivation, stewardship and relationship management;
  • Maintain accurate fundraising records and track relationships, activity and next steps;
  • Help bring structure, care and momentum to a growing philanthropy programme.

Requirements

The essential requirement is at least 2 years’ experience in high-net-worth, major donor or individual philanthropy fundraising.

Beyond that, we are looking for someone organised, thoughtful and practical, with:

  • Strong donor research skills;
  • Clear writing for donor and funder audiences;
  • Good judgement and attention to detail;
  • Confidence handling sensitive information discreetly;
  • The ability to support donor cultivation and stewardship;
  • A genuine interest in social and environmental change.

Experience in grant writing, trusts and foundations research, prospect research or CRM/pipeline management would be useful, but this is primarily a HNW and major donor support role.
