About Trip

TRIP’s mission is to create calm in the everyday chaos for our community, offering next-generation wellness products to power their lifestyle and nurture mental wellbeing.

Co-founders, husband and wife team Olivia and Daniel discovered plant-based wellness after a transformative personal experience and decided to launch TRIP in 2019 to bring the most delicious, highest quality functional drinks and supplements to millions of people globally.

Now the world’s #1 Calming Beverage Brand, TRIP’s award-winning drinks and wellness products are crafted with botanicals and adaptogens to help people relax, unwind and find balance.

Since launch, TRIP has rapidly expanded from the UK to across Europe and North America, generating over $100 million in sales.

TRIP products are now available in leading supermarkets, natural retailers and online.

Our vision is to become the global leader in calm drinks and supplements.

Synonymous with calm in the same way Red Bull is with energy.

We move fast, think big and are committed to becoming the defining brand for a generation who drinks less but prioritises mental wellbeing more than ever.

There has never been a better time to join our incredible team and be part of the movement!

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Head of Creative & Design to lead and evolve TRIP’s global creative identity as we continue to scale across the UK, US and beyond.

We need someone who is equally comfortable setting the creative vision and opening Illustrator or Photoshop and getting into the work themselves.

You’ll operate as a true player‑coach: leading the team, setting the creative standard and shaping how the function scales, while remaining closely involved in the hands‑on development and execution of TRIP’s most important creative work.

Graphic design craft is central to the role.

You’ll personally contribute to concepts and execution across campaigns, brand assets, packaging, retail, POS, digital, social and e‑commerce.

You’ll also bring a strong understanding of creative production, including planning and directing photoshoots and taking creative concepts from initial idea through to production and final execution, ensuring everything we put into the world feels unmistakably TRIP.

As the business grows, you’ll also help build the creative team, processes and capabilities needed to support an increasingly global brand without losing the pace, quality or creative edge that has helped make TRIP successful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands‑On Creative & Design
  • Remain actively involved in the day‑to‑day creative output of the team, personally designing and developing key brand assets where required.
  • Take ideas from concept through to execution across graphic design, campaign creative, Photoshoots, retail, POS, digital, social, e‑commerce and brand communications.
  • Bring exceptional graphic design craft, with a strong eye for typography, layout, colour, composition and visual storytelling.
  • Work confidently in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, rather than solely directing others to execute.
  • Develop and refine campaign concepts, key visuals, toolkits and brand systems that can scale across multiple channels and markets.
  • Create and evolve design systems that allow the wider team to move quickly while maintaining a consistently high creative standard.
  • Get close to the detail, whether that means refining a layout, challenging typography, developing a visual route or improving an asset before it goes live.
  • Support packaging, retail and shopper creative, ensuring TRIP stands out both on shelf and across physical retail environments.
  • Partner with content and production teams on photography, video and campaign shoots, from concept development through to final execution.
  • Creative Leadership
  • Work directly with TRIP’s founders to translate their creative vision into compelling concepts and high‑quality execution across all brand touchpoints.
  • Lead, inspire and develop TRIP’s in‑house creative team, setting a high bar for both ideas and execution.
  • Provide clear creative direction while remaining close enough to the work to coach, challenge and improve it.
  • Balance hands‑on design with team leadership, mentoring and creative decision‑making.
  • Build a culture where designers have strong ownership of their craft and are continuously raising the standard of the work.
  • Review and approve creative output across channels, maintaining consistency, quality and attention to detail.
  • Build and evolve the creative team structure as TRIP grows, identifying where additional capabilities should sit in‑house versus with freelancers or agencies.
  • Manage creative budgets, freelance support and production resources across UK and US requirements.
  • Brand & Creative Vision
  • Own and evolve TRIP’s global visual identity while protecting the distinctive look and feel that has made the brand successful.
  • Translate TRIP’s brand strategy into bold, culturally relevant creative ideas that work across markets and channels.
  • Ensure the brand continues to evolve rather than becoming overly rigid or formulaic as the business scales.
  • Lead creative development across UK, US and global markets, adapting execution where needed while maintaining a coherent global identity.
  • Stay close to culture, design, consumer behaviour and emerging creative trends to ensure TRIP remains distinctive and relevant.
  • Develop a strong understanding of what best‑in‑class creative looks like across packaging, retail, Meta, Amazon, email, web, shopper marketing and emerging channels.
  • Creative Operations & Scale
  • Build creative processes that allow the team to move quickly without compromising quality.
  • Improve workflows, briefing, feedback and production processes across the wider business.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Growth, E‑commerce, Sales and Shopper teams to translate commercial objectives into strong creative solutions.
  • Help teams across the business understand how to use TRIP’s brand and creative assets effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new tools, technology and AI into the creative process where they genuinely improve speed, quality or output.

About You

  • You have significant experience across graphic design and creative, ideally within FMCG, beauty, lifestyle, wellness or another design‑led consumer brand.
  • You are a hands‑on designer first and foremost, with the leadership experience to operate at Head of level.
  • Your portfolio demonstrates a strong mix of work you have personally designed and executed, alongside creative projects you have art‑directed, including beautifully executed photoshoots that showcase your ability to bring creative concepts to life from initial vision through to final production.
  • You have exceptional graphic design fundamentals across typography, layout, composition, colour and visual hierarchy.
  • You are highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with working knowledge of Premiere Pro and/or After Effects beneficial.
  • You are comfortable moving between high‑level creative thinking and detailed execution — from shaping a campaign idea to refining an individual asset.
  • You have experience developing creative across a broad mix of channels including brand campaigns, digital, social, retail, POS, e‑commerce and packaging.
  • You understand how creative needs to flex by channel rather than taking a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.
  • You have experience leading and developing designers while still remaining actively involved in the work yourself.
  • You have helped build creative teams, processes and ways of working within a growing or fast‑moving organisation.
  • You are commercially minded and understand how great creative supports both brand building and business performance.
  • You are comfortable collaborating with senior stakeholders and challenging constructively when needed.
  • You have experience directing lifestyle and/or product photography and working closely with production partners.
  • Experience working across the UK and US is highly desirable, particularly within consumer brands.

You are curious about emerging creative technology and confident using AI tools where they can genuinely improve the creative process.

  • You thrive in fast‑paced environments, are comfortable with ambiguity and can balance multiple projects from concept through to production.
  • THE PACKAGE
  • Lovely, bright and spacious office 1 minute from Notting Hill Gate station, surrounded by TRIP pastel‑coloured houses!
  • Salary: DOE
  • 4 days per week in the office with the option to work from home on a Friday
  • Private Healthcare with Vitality including Virgin Gym 50% off

  • Potential to take part in the company share scheme
