Overview
Are you a data lover whoâs not afraid to challenge the norm? Fancy using your skills to help us keep our homes safe, smart, and future-ready? If youâre nodding, keep reading.
Weâre on the lookout for an Asset Intelligence Analyst AKA someone who can turn messy data into meaningful insight. Someone whoâs confident with a spreadsheet, curious about how things work, and passionate about making a difference. Sound like you?
In this role, youâll be more than just a data analyst; youâll be a key player in our Asset Intelligence team. Youâll help us interpret complex data sets, transforming them into actionable strategies that support our commitment to maintaining safe and efficient homes for our customers. Your contributions will directly impact our decision-making processes, ensuring that we not only meet but exceed compliance standards.
Youâll have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams across the organisation, gaining insights and sharing your expertise to drive continuous improvement. We value innovative thinkers who arenât afraid to ask âwhyâ and seek out better ways of doing things. If youâre driven by a sense of purpose and eager to be part of a team that truly makes a difference, weâd love to hear from you.
Whatâs the role about?
Youâll be part of our brilliant Asset Intelligence team, helping us stay on top of our property and energy data and plan for the future. Youâll help us make sense of it all â and make sure weâre doing right by our customers.
Youâll be:
- Digging into data from all over the place and turning it into something useful
- Using your advanced Excel skills (formulas, lookups, Power Query) to build dashboards, spot trends, and tell the story behind the numbers. Youâll spot trends, risks and opportunities that help us plan ahead
- Building dashboards and reports that tell a story (not just a load of numbers)
- Presenting your findings in a way that everyone can understandâwhether itâs a technical deep-dive or a quick summary for decision-makers.
- Challenge the status quo: ask âwhy,â push for better, and make sure weâre always improving
- Keeping our property and component data accurate, up to date and easy to understand
- Working with teams across YH to make sure weâre all pulling in the same direction. Youâll be at the heart of mission, overlaying and using pre-emptive data to plan investment programs, ensuring our data is rock-solid, and our teams have everything they need to ensure our customers have âa place youâre proud to call homeâ.
- Championing our âcustomer-obsessedâ culture, making life easier for colleagues to get things done and ultimately our customers.
What weâre looking for
- Real-world experience wrangling large, messy data setsâcleansing, reconciling, and making sense of it all
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, formulas, lookups â the lot)
- A sharp eye for detail, a methodical approach, and the confidence to challenge and improve how things are done
- Confidence to challenge how things are done and suggest better ways
- A clear communicator who can explain the complex in a simple way
Power BI, GIS or housing experience? Great â but not essential. We care more about your mindset and passion for doing the right thing with the data we have. Check out the attached Role Profile for a detailed look at the role and requirements
