Are you keen to work somewhere that’s stimulating and friendly, with loads of opportunities for growth and plenty of freedom to make a real impact? INSHUR is redefining the future of mobility in insurance, trusted by Uber, Uber Eats, Amazon, Bolt, Ola, FreeNow, and more. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us and own our Global Platform. We’re based in Brighton with a hybrid working model, allowing collaboration in the office and remote work. You’ll connect with colleagues at least 2–4 times a month at our Brighton office. You’ll be working on re-inventing insurance across markets including the UK, US, and the Netherlands, with plans to expand into new European countries.
Reporting to the Principal Product Manager, you’ll join a team focused on building and evolving foundational systems that power global products, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and fit for long-term growth across all markets. We value high performance and are committed to INSHUR being a place where everyone can build something special, while enjoying the journey.
What you’ll do:
- Platform Ownership: Own the core insurance platform, including Quote, Rating, Billing, and Policy services, ensuring the system is scalable, reliable, and compliant.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Lead the platform roadmap with a long-term view, balancing immediate delivery with foundational investments that unlock speed and flexibility for the business.
- Platform Expansion: Lead the expansion of INSHUR globally across new territories, driving capabilities to support new regions and ensuring compliance and standardisation of platform functionality and capabilities.
- Driving Innovation: Identify and develop tooling and capabilities internally to drive efficiency and scalability as the business scales.
- Cross-Domain Orchestration: Translate complex global requirements into clear, sequenced initiatives for a seamless experience across products and geographies.
- Engineering Partnership: Partner with Engineering to shape system design and APIs, enabling teams to ship with clarity and confidence.
- Stakeholder Interface: Act as the primary link between the platform and wider business units (Finance, Risk, Operations) to manage competing priorities and reduce operational friction.
We’d love to hear from you if you have these essentials to thrive in the role:
- Platform Product ownership: Significant experience owning backend, platform, or infrastructure-adjacent products in high-throughput environments.
- High-Growth Startup Experience: Proven ability to build, ship, and scale platform products in high-growth, fast-changing startup environments, operating with ambiguity and limited resources, with a strong bias toward execution and ownership.
- Strong Technical Literacy: Ability to engage confidently with engineers, data, finance and insurance teams on decisions, data models, and trade-offs.
- Navigating Regulated Environments: Experience delivering high-impact products within insurance, fintech, payments, or financial services.
- Systems-Thinking Mindset: Strong judgment to anticipate second-order effects while managing platform risk.
- High Ownership Mentality: Drive to take responsibility for long-term outcomes and build institutional continuity.
Additional skills that could set you apart:
- Global Platform Scaling: Experience supporting multi-country or multi-market platforms.
- Data and Event Intuition: Experience working with analytics or event-driven systems.
- Operational Tooling Expertise: Experience owning internal tools or operational platforms that improve internal productivity.
You’ll love it here if you thrive navigating ambiguity and finding clarity in uncertain situations. Take pride in being accountable and owning your responsibilities.
