We are looking for a Senior Large Loss Claims Technician to join us at INSHUR! You’ll have the opportunity to work remotely, while also connecting with your colleagues at our Brighton office on occasions for training and events. Supported by (and reporting to) the Claims Manager, you'll be joining a friendly team of claims professionals who thrive on delivering exceptional service to INSHUR customers. What You'll Do
- Own and drive complex, high-value personal injury and fatality claims end-to-end.
- Deliver expert liability and quantum assessments across intricate, high-exposure cases.
- Maintain accurate reserving with clear reporting to senior stakeholders and reinsurers.
- Lead strategic negotiations to secure efficient, commercially strong settlements.
- Manage litigation, partnering with top-tier solicitors, counsel, and technical experts.
- Identify and mitigate fraud risks, protecting against exaggerated or complex claims.
- Build trusted reinsurer relationships through clear, timely large loss reporting.

- Exceptional Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to clearly articulate ideas and strategies to diverse stakeholders.
- Handling Experience: Adaptability to manage gradle-to-grave claims across varying coverages, including Bodily Injury (BI), Credit Hire, and Property damage.
- Legal and Claims Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience managing litigation in a legal exec, solicitor, or large loss specialist capacity.
- Liability Assessment Experience: Proven ability to assess liability in complex large loss motor claims and make defensible, strategic decisions.
- Attention to Detail & Task Management: Proven ability to independently manage tasks, stay structured, and provide support to the team.
- Customer-Focused Problem Solving: Commitment to delivering tailored solutions aligned with customer outcomes and expectations.
- Proactive Decision-Making: Comfortable taking a forward-thinking, assertive approach rather than waiting to react—driving strong claim outcomes and reducing leakage.

- Final Stage: 90-minute in-person assessment involving a scenario-based task and team fit interview.
