INSHUR is the embedded insurance powerhouse for the on‑demand world. We partner with giants like Uber and Amazon to provide fair, data‑backed coverage for the modern workforce. We’re 220 people strong across the UK, US, and Netherlands, using AI as a multiplier to stay ahead of the curve.

The role is supported by (and reporting to) the Inside Sales Team Lead, you'll be joining a friendly team of nine that’s part of the Growth function—responsible for driving new initiatives at INSHUR, including collaborations and campaigns between Sales and Marketing. The Inside Sales team focuses on winning direct revenue for the business, creating value, and building clear differentiators between INSHUR and our competitors. We value high performance and care deeply about making INSHUR a place where everyone is building something special, that we can all be proud of, while enjoying the ride. We're based in Brighton, with a hybrid working model. You'll come into the office at least one day a week, with the rest of your time remote. Our inbound sales line operates from 8:30am to 6:00pm, and you’ll rotate across three shift patterns: 8:30am–5:00pm, 9:00am–5:30pm, and 9:30am–6:00pm. There is an occasional requirement to provide bank holiday cover.

What you’ll do:

  • Proactively contact prospects via phone at high volumes across outbound and inbound channels.
  • Cover our inbound phone line ensuring incoming calls are handled and manage abandonment rate and wait times.
  • Own and manage a sales pipeline using our CRM, with predefined campaigns aimed at both New Business and Renewals.
  • Use consultative sales skills to assess customers’ insurance need and latent needs, complying with regulations, and sell the appropriate INSHUR insurance product.
  • Close sales and ensure customer information and data is entered and kept updated on our in-house system.
  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly targets across revenue, activity, and pipeline health.
  • Collaborate with others in the Inside Sales team to drive efficiency in sales processes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong background in a high‑volume telesales role.
  • Experience working to targets in inbound or proactive outbound sales environment with a record of exceeding targets.
  • Strong communication skills, able to build rapport over the telephone and forge relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Passion for adding value to customers and prospects.
  • Ability to ask dynamic and probing questions to uncover needs in a competitive environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about customers, budgets, and buying processes to align products accordingly.
  • Effective time management and discipline to achieve daily call criteria and KPIs.
  • Experience in a regulated sales environment desirable but not essential.

How Inside Sales team uses AI:

  • Utilize AI in our CRM to score and prioritise leads so you can act on the most likely to convert first.
  • Leverage AI agents to nurture leads, book callbacks, and disqualify opportunities for new efficiencies.
  • Analyse sales activity data to drive the highest conversion from the pipeline.

What we offer:

  • Salary £25,000 to £27,500 + OTE £8‑10k, depending on experience and location, plus stock options for every employee.
  • 30 days of holiday annually, plus bank holidays.
  • Private healthcare for you and your family, including pre‑existing conditions.
  • Life insurance at 3x your salary.
  • 13 weeks parental leave at full pay for new parents.
  • Workplace nursery scheme with Gogeta, allowing you to pay fees pre‑tax.
  • Ride to work scheme.
  • Workplace pension scheme.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • £500 annual personal training allowance and regular learning opportunities.
  • £40 monthly wellbeing allowance.
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Program covering you and immediate family members—counselling, legal advice, menopause CBT, and more.
  • Unlimited AI usage with Claude and Gemini.

Working here:

You’ll do well here if you:

  • Move through ambiguity without waiting for a perfect brief.
  • Take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Adapt quickly when priorities shift and help others do the same.
  • Look for ways to improve how things work, not just complete them.
  • Use tools, data, and colleagues to make better decisions.

This probably isn’t the right fit if you:

  • Prefer clearly defined processes and a stable, slow‑moving environment.
  • Are comfortable staying within the boundaries of your job description.
  • Find frequent context‑switching draining rather than energising.
