We’re a team of curious, driven people using technology to change how insurance works for the better. If you like to move fast, think differently, and do work that actually matters, you’re in the right place. At INSHUR, we are more than just insurance. We're a team committed to delivering exceptional service and staying true to the principles that drive us forward.
We walk the talk
We’re accountable for our actions and commitments. We don’t just set goals and make promises; we follow through on them. By taking ownership and acting with integrity, we build trust with our people, customers, and partners. We do what we say we’ll do.
We achieve more together
We believe the sum is greater than its parts. We build strong relationships, share information openly, and actively seek out different perspectives. When we combine our skills and experiences, we reach a level none of us could reach alone, and we celebrate that together.
We learn relentlessly
We embrace curiosity and growth, constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our industry. Right now, that means pushing ourselves and each other to understand and use AI in everything we do, not because we have to, but because we genuinely believe it makes us better. We’re all on that learning curve together.
We use AI to work smarter. Every team at INSHUR has access to AI tools, and we invest in helping people use them well. Whatever your role, you will be encouraged to get hands-on, experiment with what is possible, and help shape how we use these tools across the business.
We’re not going to pretend we have it all figured out. We’re on the journey, not at the finish line. But that’s exactly what makes it interesting and why we want people who are energised by that, not unsettled by it.
Learning and development
We provide an individual learning budget, personal development plans, levelling & progression frameworks, coaching, and ongoing learning opportunities to support the continuous growth of our team members. To ensure that everyone can take control of their own learning and development, we make access to learning as effortless as possible.
DEI and equal opportunities
We recognise that everyone has a contribution to make to our society and a right to equal opportunities is a right for all. We're committed to providing a working environment where everyone can be their authentic self. We recognise, value, and celebrate the individual differences and contributions of all team members.
We care deeply about wellbeing and value physical and mental health equally. We encourage generous time off to restore, recharge, and rebuild. To help us create a culture where speaking about wellbeing isn't only perfectly acceptable but an essential part of our DNA, we provide wellbeing tips and resources and share our stories in a public forum. Our managers are MHFA trained and we have an Employee Assistance Programme.
Flexible and hybrid-remote working
We all have an optimum rhythm. We hold the values of ownership, responsibility, and autonomy dear, which is why we embrace flexible and hybrid working. Our guiding principles around documentation, visibility, and social interactions help us ensure people can work productively and successfully, regardless of location.
Life at INSHUR
INSHUR is full of people who care: about the work, about the mission, and about each other. That shows up in how we give feedback, how we handle the tough moments, and how much genuine goodwill there is across the business. It also shows up in the standards we hold ourselves to. This isn’t a place where average is fine. We’re building something, and everyone here is part of that. You’ll be challenged, supported, and trusted to bring your best. That combination of high standards and real heart is what makes INSHUR a place people want to stay.
Want to know how AI can help you land your dream job at INSHUR? We actively encourage candidates to use AI tools throughout the process: to research us, sharpen their application, and prepare for interviews. What we’re interested in is how you think, not whether you needed help getting there.
We’re always looking for people who are curious, driven, and ready to do something that matters. Take a look at what’s open, and if something fits, we’d love to hear from you!
The role
As a Broker Distribution Manager you will play a crucial role in driving growth and maintaining our partnerships with brokers. This role supports INSHUR’s ambitious goals by fostering strong relationships, ensuring FCA compliance, and delivering innovative insurance solutions tailored to our broker network and carrier partners. Working closely with the Director of Insurance and a dynamic team, you will actively contribute to INSHUR’s mission of reinventing insurance while maintaining operational excellence and enhancing partner experiences.
We're based in Brighton, with a hybrid working model. You'll come into the office once a week, with the rest of your time working from home and travelling to meet brokers.
What you'll do
- Deliver channel growth & market expansion: Own the broker distribution strategy end-to-end—driving top-line GWP, revenue growth, and expanding INSHUR's market share through both key account scaling and new broker acquisition.
- Build a high-performing, compliant partner ecosystem: Transform the broker network into a well-oiled machine by executing thorough onboarding, optimizing underperforming accounts, and ensuring strict adherence to Consumer Duty and FCA regulatory standards.
- Bridge product, tech, and distribution: Align underwriters, engineering, operations, and partner integration teams to eliminate operational friction, build seamless broker systems, and keep INSHUR's products hyper-relevant.
- Turn broker insights into strategic action: Influence cross-functional leadership and enable internal teams by delivering data-driven market proposals, competitive insights, and transparent KPI reporting that directly inform business decisions.
- Drive continuous product & process evolution: Champion the voice of the broker internally, translating partner feedback and market analysis into continuous process improvements and higher broker satisfaction scores.
What we're looking for
We care more about how you think than what's on your CV. If you meet most of the essentials and are excited about the problem, apply.
- Proven track record in insurance distribution and broker management: You have successfully built, managed, and scaled broker networks to hit clear sales, GWP, and revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of UK insurance compliance and Consumer Duty: You seamlessly embed regulatory requirements and due diligence into everyday partner processes without slowing down commercial momentum.
- Data-led decision-making and commercial analysis: You translate raw KPI data, market trends, and CRM records into actionable insights and strategic proposals for leadership.
- Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management: You comfortably bridge the gap between technical teams (engineering, ops) and underwriting to resolve friction and keep products relevant.
- Hands-on experience onboarding and educating partners: You excel at qualifying prospects and hosting engaging workshops that clearly articulate a tech-first insurance value proposition to external teams.
Nice to have
- Experience in commercial motor, fleet, or mobility insurance: Direct exposure to fast-paced niche transport or technology-driven insurance products gives you a head start.
- Familiarity with API-first integrations or partner tech setups: You understand how tech-led insurance platforms integrate with broker systems to make trading frictionless.
- Experience running structured broker feedback loops: You have established systematic ways (like NPS or structured reviews) to measure broker satisfaction and continuously refine operations.
- Active network within the UK broker landscape: Existing relationships with key regional or national brokers to hit the ground running.
How the Insurance team uses AI
Whether you're new to AI or already building with it, we give everyone the tools, time, and support to grow. AI is a multiplier here, it handles the repetitive so you can focus on the work that actually needs you.
For this team it means:
- Using Claude to support data analysis of broker performance, including Consumer Duty reporting.
- Using Gemini to help streamline preparation for broker meetings, collating data from different sources to give a holistic view of the relationship.
We also use AI tools to support our hiring process — not to make decisions, but to help us run a fairer, faster process.
What to expect from the process
- Screen: A 30-minute call with the Talent team. We'll cover the role, your background, and your questions.
- First interview: A 60-minute video call with the Lead Product Underwriter and People Ops Lead, this will be a role and team fit interview with behavioural and situational questions.
- Case study: An in-person interview at our Brighton office with the Director of Insurance and a key stakeholder. We design this to be a two-way conversation. Come with questions — we want you to leave knowing whether this is the right move for you.
What we offer
We've also built a benefits package that invests in our people’s long-term personal and professional growth and wellbeing. Here’s a sample of what this includes:
- Competitive salary, benchmarked to market by location. We discuss compensation openly from the first conversation.
- 30 days of holiday annually, plus bank holidays.
