Position Overview
Our Technical Project Managers are responsible for managing the technical aspects of client projects, from initial brief through to on-site delivery. This role involves working closely with clients, specifying technical requirements, developing project plans, and ensuring successful execution on-site. You will support the Senior Technical Project Manager in delivering high-quality exhibition projects that meet client expectations and contribute to the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Interaction: Work directly with clients to understand their technical needs and translate them into detailed project specifications.
- Job Specification: Develop accurate and detailed specifications for each project, covering all technical aspects such as audio, video, lighting, rigging, power, and networks.
- Project Planning: Assist in creating comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Pricing: Support the pricing of projects by gathering cost estimates and ensuring that projects are priced competitively and profitably.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure all resources are in
- On-Site Support: Manage on-site technical teams during the setup, operation, and breakdown phases of exhibitions, ensuring all equipment is installed and operated correctly.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all technical deliverables meet Insert Productions’ quality standards and client expectations.
- Problem-solving: Address any technical challenges that arise during the planning or execution phases, providing quick and effective solutions.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Exhibitions Director and other stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.
Requirements
- • Proven experience in technical project management within the events or exhibitions
- • Strong technical knowledge in audio, video, lighting, rigging, power, and networks.
- • Experience in client management and the ability to translate client needs into actionable project plans.
- • Solid understanding of budgeting and pricing within the context of technical projects.
- • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams.
- • Relevant certifications in project management are a plus.
- • Salary between £40,000 and £50,000 depending on experience.
