Associate Talent Managers must continue to carry out responsibilities and duties as a support role coordinator to the wider roster alongside their responsibilities as ATM. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Curating and booking complex travel plans for clients
  • Diary management for Talent Managers, Senior Talent Managers and Insanity clients
  • Assisting in the management and nurturing of existing clients and the running of day-to-day talent campaigns
  • Writing and editing copy, including by using predesigned templates
  • Research duties to include potential clients, brands, social media platforms, research tools, competition
  • Responding to queries and filtering to the appropriate manager
  • Managing databases and maintaining admin systems
  • Raising invoices and keeping job sheets up to date

At Associate Talent Manager level there is an understanding that some clients will be development level but there should be clear career goals set out for those talent to become more established in their particular field/category, in addition to being able to secure commercial opportunities. ATM’s typically will input into wider department and company strategy, introducing opportunities for wider team members and sharing key industry knowledge and insights. They will be keen to establish relationships with key stakeholders from across the entertainment industry – working with their manager to build their contact book. They should have experience of liaising between Talent and external stakeholders as well as developing skills alongside their line manager to handle conflict and/or crisis. Associate Talent Managers’ activity will continue to sit on their partnering manager’s ledger, but the ATM should be aware of both financial and creative targets. Associate Talent Managers may progress to a Talent Manager position over time once objectives are consistently exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Representation: to co-represent a diverse roster of talent who work within the entertainment industry, seeking to ensure that their career goals are met over time.
  • Client Development: to work with Talent Managers and Senior Talent Managers to develop and implement strategic career plans for talent across different verticals, which may include broadcast opportunities, brand campaigns, hosting opportunities and Intellectual Property projects.
  • Contract Negotiation: in partnership with their immediate manager and the wider business affairs team, negotiate contracts and deals on behalf of talent, using best practice and in support of the wider company’s objectives.
  • Industry Networking: to build and maintain strong professional relationships with industry professionals and key stakeholders across the industry.
  • Opportunity Sourcing: to continue developing skills to identify and secure opportunities for talent, such as brand partnerships, endorsements and collaborations.
  • Brand Management: to develop the skills to manage the public image and personal brand for the talent, including social media presence and public appearances.
  • Administrative Tasks: to handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling, gifting, travel arrangements, campaign management, content delivery, legal agreements and promptly raising invoice requests.
  • Peer to peer learning: supporting colleagues on areas of the business where you have experience for the benefit of their development and/or clients.
  • Shared Resilience: Associate Talent Managers will regularly seek counsel from more senior colleagues to enrich a deal and develop their skillset.
  • Conflict Resolution: with support from other senior colleagues, address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise between talent and stakeholders.
  • Managing Business Risk: by flagging key issues early on with line manager(s), company Directors or colleagues in the Business Affairs team.
  • To Promote Environmental Sustainability: by advocating for environmentally responsible practices within the company.
  • To Support Social Responsibility Initiatives: by contributing to corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and initiatives.
  • To Ensure Good Governance Practices: by adhering to ethical business practices and promoting a culture of integrity.
  • To Stay Informed on ESG Trends and Best Practices: by staying up to date on emerging ESG regulations and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in entertainment (ideally at Insanity), or a related industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show flair with understanding negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Good foundation level of relationships and contacts across the entertainment industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple talent and projects simultaneously, in conjunction with a line manager.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and brand management.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
