Insafe International Ltd is recruiting for an experienced locksmith/safe engineer who will be based in the Peterborough area. This role requires enthusiastic candidates to carry out locksmithing and safe opening tasks at our clients’ locations throughout your area (usually up to a maximum of 2 hours travel time from your home). This will include repairs to existing equipment, including mechanical and electronic systems.
Duties will include (list is not exhaustive):
- General locksmithing, i.e., lock-fitting, cylinder changes and pinning, key cutting, code changes to coded door locks, etc.
- Safe opening repair (dependent on ability).
- Installing electronic safe locks.
- Code changes to safe locks.
- Programming of electronic safe locks.
- Battery changes.
Training: Since this is a role for an experienced candidate, we would expect candidates to have a good knowledge in this field. Additional and ongoing training will be supplied by Insafe, on client-specific products, to successful candidates.
Skills and experiences:
- Both mechanical and electronic aptitude is essential.
- A reasonable level of IT literacy is essential as we use a mobile platform for allocating jobs and reporting.
- Laptops are also used for programming electronic safe locks.
- Experience in this field is a requirement.
- Ability to work on one’s own while performing remote site visits.
- A reasonable degree of physical fitness is required as the role can be physical from time to time.
- A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
- Since this role is within the security industry, candidates must not have a criminal record. CRB checks will be applied.
Other details:
- A liveried vehicle is supplied equipped with the necessary stock, key cutting machines etc.
- A mobile phone, laptop and tablet are provided.
- Company uniform and PPE are provided.
- 42.5hr standard week plus overtime (where available) and On-Call rota (one 7-day period per month).
- Holidays are 20 days per annum plus Public Holidays rising to 25 days.
- Salary is subject to experience and ability.
