At INRIX, we take pride in building the world’s most comprehensive mobility data and insights. We are looking for a new member to join our data operations team in Birmingham.
As a Data Operations Specialist on the data operations team, you will work on ensuring the accuracy, currency, and completeness of our data product. You will work closely with Data Aggregation and Engineering teams to fulfil project deliverables and resolve data issues.
Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance and Control of our ground truth data assets.
- Review and approval of internal and customer map updates.
- Testing and monitoring the performance of our data and predictions.
- Researching and organising data sources for updating and enriching our datasets.
- Digitising map features from satellite and street scene imagery.
- Attribution of map features from data sources.
- Resolving data issues and requests from customers, operators, and other teams.
Required:
- Degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficient in CRUD operations (SQL).
- Proficiency using Python to perform data manipulation jobs.
- Experience using QGIS to view and analyse geospatial data.
- Experience using spreadsheets for data validation.
- Familiarity with Git for version control and collaboration.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience using Postman for API testing and validation.
- Experience scraping data from websites using Python tools.
- Experience handling big data using AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR).
Desirable:
- Experience developing full-stack applications using front-end and backend technologies with demonstrable examples.
- European language speaking and writing fluency.
