What the role involves:
As a Business Analyst in Catalyst, you will be entrusted with overseeing the successful execution of Catalyst Products and Services. Your proficiency in Business Analysis will be paramount, as you\βll be expected to develop the business requirements for multifaceted, cross-functional projects. Your extensive track record of performing structured analyses within a complex, interconnected environment, coupled with your adeptness in generating effective reports and communicating with key stakeholders, will be indispensable assets in this role.
- Work with Catalyst leaders and other key stakeholders to collect business requirements (project background, stakeholders, data, non-functional, interface, business glossary / definitions)
- Develop reports and data visualizations to demonstrate progress against goals
- Facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills, and interact with executive level stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and mapping sessions with stakeholders
- Build relationships with internal and external customers, acting as facilitator and support across functional areas both within and outside the organization
- Convert business requirements into functional requirements ensuring they align with stakeholders (business stakeholders of the project).
- Prepare use cases documenting organizational functional requirements from the user\βs perspective as well as creating and documenting βuser stories\β
- Contribute to the Requirement Management Plan (responsibility assignments, tools and procedures used, workflows and activities)
- Collect business requirements for all levels/layers of projects (project background, stakeholders, data requirements, non-functional requirements, interface requirements, business glossary/definitions)
- Prepare and track the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) which tracks and outlines project scope and any changes to the project
- Work closely with project managers, developers, marketing, and communication teams to deliver a high standard of user materials.
Requirements
Who you are:
- Educated to degree level in Business Analytics, Computer Science or Software Engineering, Business Administration or similar
- At least 3 years of industry experience in a tech related field
- At least 3 years experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience working for both large organizations as well as startups a bonus
- Experience developing technical documentation
- Experience with business processes, process flow analysis, product architecture and design best practices.
- Proficient in the use of Excel/Google Sheets and Google Docs or similar
- Proficient in the use of Power BI, Looker Data Studio, or similar data visualization tools
- Knowledge of information design, information mapping, and technical writing principles
- Experience with Jira is a plus
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools
