We are looking for a Developer Relations Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of Midnight's products and technology. Midnight is a regulatory-friendly, data protection-based blockchain that safeguards sensitive commercial and personal data using zero-knowledge proofs and a privacy-first programming model. As a Developer Relations Engineer, your primary focus will be building and maintaining example applications that demonstrate Midnight's unique capabilities. These apps will showcase real-world use cases and serve as valuable learning tools for other developers. You'll also help create educational materials, offer developer support, and engage with the community to grow and strengthen the ecosystem. This role blends development, education, and advocacy. You'll work closely with our DevRel and engineering teams to build usable demos, author helpful content, and support the success of our developer community.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain example DApps that illustrate how to develop on Midnight
- Create documentation, tutorials, and walkthroughs for onboarding developers
- Support developers by answering questions and surfacing pain points
- Contribute to awareness and engagement across the developer community
- Help translate community needs into feedback for the product and engineering teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software development using Solidity, TypeScript, Go, Rust, or similar languages
- Experience building full-stack apps (demonstration of public GitHub projects)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with DevRel, education, or open-source contributions
- Interest in technical content creation (e.g., tutorials, videos, blog posts)
- Comfortable engaging in developer communities on platforms like GitHub and Discord
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is strongly desired
Nice to Have
- Experience building or supporting projects in Web3 DeFi or blockchain gaming ecosystems
- Prior contributions to privacy-preserving applications or zero-knowledge proof tooling
- Familiarity with blockchain development environments like Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle, or similar
- Comfort with public speaking or community-facing content (workshops, livestreams, video tutorials)
- Fluency in additional human or programming languages
