We are now seeking a Senior Buyer to join our ambitious, high performing team and help us to deliver best in class procurement solutions.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Buyer, you will lead and develop assigned category areas to increase spend under management and deliver exceptional procurement services to both internal and external customers. This role is central to shaping our commercial offer, strengthening supplier relationships, and supporting strategic accounts.
You’ll act as a mentor to Buyers, contribute to continuous improvement across the business, and uphold Inprova’s values while driving our mission forward.
What You Will Do
- Deliver compliant, end to end sourcing projects
- Support members in defining requirements and producing technical specifications
- Manage supplier performance, prices, contracts, and disputes
- Build strong sector relationships to support brand visibility and growth
- Maintain and monitor the commercial & operational performance of frameworks
- Provide leadership and direction to Buyer(s) as required
- Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and continuous learning across teams
- Support marketing and communication plans
- Participate in training to maintain professional and technical competence

- Background in manufacturing, contracting, or merchant buying
- Strong research & analytical skills
- Coaching/mentoring capability
- Excellent communication, presentation & organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience of public sector procurement
- Knowledge of e-tendering and Dynamic Purchasing Systems
- Risk evaluation and mitigation
- Stakeholder analysis and value-for-money delivery
- Cost modelling and pricing assessment
- Contract performance monitoring
- Effective communication and influence
- Strong attention to detail
- Creative thinking and continuous improvement
