The Role

We’re looking for a dynamic Account Manager to drive business growth across an established regional client base and develop new opportunities within our full-service offering. Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you’ll play a pivotal role in achieving ambitious sales and retention targets through strategic account management and new business development. This is a client-facing role requiring strong business development skills in an asset, maintenance, or social housing environment, and a solid understanding of wider public sector procurement landscape. You’ll proactively build trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders and implement lasting solutions within public sector organisations across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage multiple member accounts within your region.
  • Deliver new business revenue growth through effective sales planning and execution.
  • Drive growth across existing accounts and secure new opportunities.
  • Build deep stakeholder relationships to mitigate risk and unlock high-value opportunities.
  • Understand diverse customer needs and apply product knowledge to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support growth initiatives.
  • Leverage supplier and contractor relationships to maximise new business.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and produce monthly performance reports.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and proposals.
  • Network effectively to identify and develop new business opportunities.

About You

You’re tenacious, driven, and highly motivated, with a proven track record of success in a sales-targeted environment. You thrive on building relationships and influencing stakeholders, and you’re passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven success in new business sales within complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong account management experience, in social housing or public sector.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience in value-based selling and procurement.
  • Confident presenter with strong influencing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
