Whether you're handling parcels, coordinating routes, or managing depot operations, you will play a key role in maintaining our high standards and efficiency. Responsibilities
You will take charge of both our fast‑paced services, delivering excellence across parcel logistics distribution. You'll be the driving force behind seamless operations, coordinating everything from parcel distribution to newspaper deliveries with precision and speed. Your leadership will inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and collaboration. With a sharp focus on customer satisfaction, you'll build lasting relationships, resolve challenges swiftly, and elevate service standards to new heights. Your financial acumen will keep the depot on budget, using smart strategies to boost profitability while maintaining operational excellence. You'll champion compliance and safety, ensuring every process meets regulatory standards. You’ll also push for continuous improvement, harnessing technology and data to streamline workflows and innovate.
Qualifications
- Proven success in fast paced, round the clock operations, demonstrating resilience, composure, and the ability to lead through pressure.
- A natural curiosity and a drive to innovate; you enjoy challenging the status quo and delivering smarter, better ways of working.
- Strong leadership experience within logistics, distribution, or supply chain, ideally within a depot or large operational site, with responsibility for sizeable teams and a track record of building high‑performing, collaborative cultures.
- A deep understanding of operational efficiency, using data, process improvement, and people leadership to elevate service quality and customer experience.
- Excellent financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and contributing to overall company profitability.
- A solid grasp of regulatory and compliance requirements across logistics and distribution – including health & safety, driver regulations, and industry standards.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, build strong relationships, and work confidently with Operational Directors.
- A results‑driven mindset, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional organisational skills, able to balance multiple priorities and maintain control in a fast‑moving, ever‑changing environment.
Hours
Monday – Friday (flexibility may be required due to operational needs)
