Our mission?

To switch up the status quo and become the UK’s leading out-of-home business.

With a fast-growing network of thousands of smart lockers, hundreds of leading retail partners and the launch of our transformative Send service, we’re bringing freedom to anyone with a parcel.

At In Post UK, we’re building an unparalleled group of talent that’s committed to help us power our mission to reshape the way parcels move, and redefine e Commerce logistics.

Our team is packed full of top-notch experts in e-commerce, technology, scale-up growth, sustainability, logistics and supply chain.

We’re a passionate bunch with high ambition – we collaborate, innovate, support each other, and leave egos at the door.

About The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you\'ll own a regional patch of the Mid Market segment and larger retail prospects, building a strong pipeline from scratch and leading deals from first conversation through to signed agreement and go-live.

You\'ll be the face of In Post in the field — building relationships from operational teams through to C-suite, and positioning In Post as the out-of-home delivery partner of choice.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Hit your numbers — own individual targets for signed agreements, submitted offers, and completed client meetings.
  • Build the pipeline — generate qualified retail and e-commerce prospects through field outreach, networking, referrals and digital prospecting.
  • Lead the full sales cycle — from first meeting to commercial agreement and a smooth go-live, delivering a best-in-class client experience.
  • Build relationships that matter — engage multiple stakeholders within target organisations, from operational contacts to commercial decision-makers.
  • Negotiate and close — prepare compelling commercial offers and agreements, handling objections with confidence.
  • Grow the accounts you win — monitor onboarding, spot upsell opportunities, and keep client and pipeline data accurate in the CRM.
  • Know your market — stay ahead of competitor activity and e-commerce/logistics trends, feeding insight back into commercial strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally — work closely with Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal and Customer Success to deliver for every client.
  • What We Need From You

We’re looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today\'s stuff done, whilst building for the future.

We’re looking for people with drive and natural curiosity – who want to do things differently.

And do them brilliantly.

  • Experience in B2B field sales or business development, ideally selling services into retail or e-commerce businesses.
  • Experience in parcel delivery, logistics, payments or e-commerce services.
  • An existing network across UK e-commerce or retail.
  • CRM experience for pipeline management and sales reporting.
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding new business sales targets.
  • Experience in client service and commercial negotiation in a B2B environment.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder sales processes across complex organisations.
  • Confident, polished presentation and proposal skills for senior audiences.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable building a territory from scratch.
  • A full UK driving licence — this is a field-based role.
  • YOU ARE
  • Results-driven, with a genuine hunger to win new business.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own diary and pipeline.
  • A natural relationship-builder, equally credible with an operations manager or a CEO.
  • Curious, adaptable, and energised by a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A team player who also thrives working independently in the field.
  • The In Post Process

We pride ourselves on our candidate experience.

We want to make this as straightforward as possible, for you and for us!

We will try our best to get back to you within a few days to let you know if we’d like to take you to the first stage.

This normally involves a 20 minute chat with our Talent Team.

If we both feel the connection, you’ll then go through another one or two stages, depending on the level of the role.

At In Post, we love uniqueness. Our strength is our people.

We strive to create an open, equal, inclusive environment in which everyone has the opportunity to flourish and be themselves.
