At InPost Distribution, we’re at the core of the UK’s logistics network, proudly delivering parcels for some of the nation’s leading high street and online brands. The Central Hub at Lutterworth opened in September last year and we are now recruiting for our exciting second phase of development, installing five new sorters and more than doubling our parcel volume- this is fantastic time to be joining the InPost family!

About the role
As we continue to grow rapidly, we’re seeking a driven and dynamic Days Warehouse Supervisor's to join our team and help propel our success even further. In this key role, reporting to the Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your warehouse/logistics and operational team management experience will help us meet deadlines, maintain quality standards, and drive operational efficiency. Salary: £16.15 per hour rising to £16.63 per hour after 6 months
What you’ll be doing
- Lead with Passion: Manage and motivate your team to ensure productivity targets are met and customer deadlines are achieved.
- Forecast and Plan: Assist in the planning and forecasting of staff requirements, including rota management and annual leave planning to ensure we’re always fully staffed and ready to go.
- Optimize Operations: Ensure all labelling, sortation, and warehouse team productivity targets are achieved, maintaining quality standards at all times.
- Create a Winning Team Culture: Ensure all new staff receive a thorough induction, and provide continuous training to both staff and contractors, enabling them to perform their roles effectively, efficiently, and safely.
- Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration, ensuring smooth operations throughout the business.
- Maintaining a Top-Tier Warehouse Environment: Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and fully compliant with safety standards to create an efficient and professional environment.
- Upholding Company Standards: Consistently follow company policies.
- Prioritising Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for everyone by maintaining safe working practices at all times, upholding compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures, and ensuring all team members have completed the necessary Health & Safety training.
What we need from you
- Hands-on experience working in a fast-paced Warehouse, Distribution or Logistics environment, and understanding of operational challenges is desired.
- Experience in a supervisory role, successfully motivating and managing teams to achieve performance targets.
- Effective communication skills to give clear direction to your team under pressure, manage difficult conversations and work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- A calm and focused approach to prioritizing daily tasks, thriving under pressure while maintaining high-standards of performance.
- Problem-solving skills grounded in practical, common-sense decision-making, enabling quick and effective resolution of operational issues.
- Proficient computer skills, confident using Outlook, Word, Excel, adaptable to learn to use new digital tools, experience using warehouse and logistics management systems desirable.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
