We’re a passionate bunch with high ambition – we collaborate, innovate, support each other, and leave egos at the door.
About the role: We are excited to welcome a talented lawyer to our in-house Legal team at InPost UK to provide legal advice/support across the group. Reporting to our Director of Legal you’ll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth, high quality legal team. Your work will be highly varied - while your primary focus will be supporting our commercial and network teams to drive business growth across our locker and home delivery networks as well as eCommerce partnerships, you will also collaborate with other core functions and contribute to impactful initiatives across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer looking to further develop their in-house expertise in a rapidly evolving company. At InPost, we are truly revolutionising the traditional delivery landscape through the quality of our technology, people, products and partnerships. If you’re excited by the idea of being part of a business that is positively impacting the daily lives of the people around you, while having both the autonomy and support to do your best work, this is the role for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Business Partnering: Provide clear and practical commercial and contract advice across all levels of the business, particularly with our commercial, marketing and logistics teams.
- Contract Delivery: Review, draft and negotiate key commercial contracts across retail partners, suppliers and our locker estate network in partnership with senior leadership and sales teams.
- Litigation and Compliance: Support with general claims and litigation management while managing business compliance day-to-day.
- Company Secretarial: Provide support as required including managing administrative duties and maintaining statutory records.
- Continuous Improvement: Critically review, refine and update precedents library and playbooks as well as business processes.
- Innovation Support: Partner with the wider legal team offering advice on new product design and launches.
- Regulatory Foresight: Stay ahead of legal and regulatory developments to ensure InPost is well-prepared for the future.
What we need from you:
- Legal Expertise: You’re a qualified lawyer (qualified in England and Wales or another common law jurisdiction) with ~4+ years’ PQE having trained with a reputable law firm – in-house experience is preferred.
- Commercial Acumen: You blend deep legal knowledge with a solid understanding of business dynamics, always looking to align legal outcomes with commercial objectives.
- Contract Delivery: Stellar drafting skills and experience negotiating commercial contracts.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience partnering with commercial teams at all levels of seniority, with the ability to distil complex legal issues into clear and actionable business advice. You build relationships through credibility and great natural rapport.
- Resilience and Adaptability: You can navigate ambiguity with a cool head, have a high level of accountability and approach working in an ever-changing environment with humour and determination.
This is a hybrid role based in our central London or Liverpool office 2-3 days per week. We’re looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today’s stuff done, whilst building for the future. We’re looking for people with drive and natural curiosity – who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly.
Perks of the job!: We love to reward our people for the great work they do:
- Enhanced Annual Leave: 26 Days Plus the Option to Buy Additional Days per year.
- Vitality Health Care: Stay healthy and happy with our top-notch health coverage.
