The InPost Newstrade division specialises in final-mile delivery for newspaper publishers and magazine distributors, covering 75% of the UK and Ireland with a 45% market share. Operating from 36 locations, it delivers almost 1bn newspapers, magazines, and collectibles to around 21,000 customers. The division includes core final-mile operations, magazine primary distribution, corporate distribution, outsourced retail consultancy, and airside media placement. About the role:
Join InPost Newstrade in a hands-on role primarily focused on warehouse operations, with occasional multi-drop driving responsibilities as required. You will support the loading and securing of vehicles in line with legislation, assist with uplifting previous day’s orders when needed, and ensure goods are handled safely and efficiently at all times. Within the warehouse, you will help break down and allocate inbound supplies, load vehicles, and maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace. The role also involves completing all required documentation, occasionally handling customer enquiries, and following company procedures and policies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Location: The Long Barrow, Willesborough, Ashford, TN24 0GA
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Wednesday
Hours: 04:00am – 09:00am
Salary: £12.70 per hour
What you will be doing:
- Primarily warehouse-based with occasional driving duties as required:
- Safely load vehicles in line with current legislation and company procedures when undertaking driving responsibilities
- Deliver to customers safely, efficiently, and on time when required
- Ensure the security of the vehicle and goods during transit
Warehouse responsibilities include:
- Accurately packing customer orders in line with detailed instructions, ensuring correct items and quantities are prepared for dispatch
- Packing products securely, neatly, and efficiently to protect goods in transit and maintain presentation standards
- Performing regular quality checks to ensure all packed orders meet company standards and customer expectations
- Breaking down, allocating, and loading inbound supplies
- Uplifting previous day’s orders as required
- Accurately completing all required warehouse documentation and system updates within agreed timeframes
- Completing all documentation in line with company procedures
- Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and operational deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment
- Adhering to all company procedures, policies, and health & safety guidelines at all times
- Dealing with customer enquiries from time to time
What we need from you:
- A valid Right to Work in the UK
- No serious unspent criminal convictions
- A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence with no previous NI, DD, or DR disqualifications
- Physically fit to meet the demands of a warehouse-based role with occasional multi-drop driving
- A positive, hardworking attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support different tasks as required
- Confident working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy and quality
