At InPost, we are looking for an exceptional full-time Warehouse Supervisor (days) to join our team and help drive operational excellence in our parcel sortation operations. As a key member of the team, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, optimize mechanical sortation processes, and lead a talented team towards achieving outstanding results.

Location: Inpost 2-6 Abbotswell Road, Aberdeen, AB12 3AB

Shift Pattern: 4 week rotational rota (to be discussed at interview)

Hours: 40hrs per week

Salary: £27,998 p/a

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimize daily warehouse operations, ensuring seamless execution across all activities.
• Driving High Performance: Develop and implement strategies that drive performance improvements, reduce operational costs, and maximize efficiency. Monitor KPIs closely to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Mastering Warehouse Flow: Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels, driving a smooth operational flow.
• Empowering Your Team: Lead, train, and inspire a high-performance warehouse team. Provide mentorship and guidance, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration, ensuring smooth operations throughout the business.
• Ensuring Consistency: Enforce adherence to SOPs to ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and quality at all times.
• Prioritizing Safety: Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance with all regulations and creating a safe working environment.
• Managing the OLA Shift: Take full control of managing all aspects of the OLA shift, ensuring optimal productivity and performance.
• Managing Driver Briefings: Oversee and control all aspects of driver pre- and de-briefings, ensuring clear communication and seamless operations.
• Maintaining a Top-Tier Warehouse Environment: Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and fully compliant with safety standards to create an efficient and professional environment.
• Upholding Company Standards: Consistently adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring the highest operational standards and integrity.

What we need from you:

• Proven Leadership: Significant experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a parcel sortation or logistics warehouse, with a solid understanding of automated sortation systems and/or non-automated processes.
• Operational Expertise: Strong background in warehouse flow management and a proven ability to optimize processes and drive operational efficiency.
• Inspirational Leadership: Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team towards achieving ambitious goals.
• Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in warehouse management systems and relevant technology tools that enhance operational performance and efficiency.
• Thrives in High-Paced Environments: Ability to excel in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and upholding the highest standards.
• Commitment to Excellence: A passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and a dedication to maintaining operational excellence.
• FLT Counterbalance licence: Desirable but not essential.
