At InPost, we are looking for an exceptional Warehouse Pre-brief Supervisor to join our team and help drive operational excellence in our parcel sortation operations. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, optimizing mechanical sortation processes, and leading a talented team towards achieving outstanding results.

Shift Pattern: 4 over 7
Hours: 04.00am – 14.30pm
Salary: £28,000 p/a
Responsibilities
- Leading Operational Excellence: Take charge of overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring seamless execution across all activities and departments.
- Driving High Performance: Develop and implement strategies that drive performance improvements, reduce operational costs, and maximize efficiency. Monitor KPIs closely to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and success.
- Mastering Warehouse Flow: Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels, driving a smooth operational flow from start to finish.
- Empowering Your Team: Lead, train, and inspire a high-performance warehouse team. Provide mentorship and guidance, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
- Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration, ensuring smooth operations throughout the business.
- Ensuring Consistency: Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and quality at all times.
- Prioritizing Safety: Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance with all regulations and creating a safe working environment for your team.
- Managing the OLA Shift: Take full control of managing all aspects of the OLA shift, ensuring optimal productivity and performance.
- Managing Driver Briefings: Oversee and control all aspects of driver pre- and de-briefings, ensuring clear communication and seamless operations.
- Maintaining a Top-Tier Warehouse Environment: Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and fully compliant with safety standards to create an efficient and professional environment.
- Upholding Company Standards: Consistently adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring the highest operational standards and integrity.
- Weekend Engagement: Actively participate in weekend conference calls to stay aligned with key operational developments and share insights on performance and strategic priorities.
What we need from you
- Proven Leadership: Significant experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a parcel sortation or logistics warehouse, with a solid understanding of automated sortation systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transport legislation and logistics operations, enabling you to navigate the complexities of the industry with confidence and precision. Previous experience within a transport or logistics environment is highly valued, providing a solid foundation for success in this role. A proactive problem-solver who can think on their feet, swiftly overcoming challenges to ensure seamless and efficient operations. Experience with transport management systems such as Microlise is highly advantageous, though not essential — we welcome candidates eager to learn and adapt.
