About the role

At InPost, we are looking for an exceptional Nights Warehouse Supervisor to join our team and help drive operational excellence in our parcel sortation operations. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, optimizing mechanical sortation processes, and leading a talented team toward achieving outstanding results.

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 3 off

Hours: 20:00pm - 07:00am

Salary: £33,592.00 per annum

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading Operational Excellence: Take charge of overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring seamless execution across all activities and departments.
  • Driving High Performance: Develop and implement strategies that drive performance improvements, reduce operational costs, and maximize efficiency. Monitor KPIs closely to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and success.
  • Mastering Warehouse Flow: Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels, driving a smooth operational flow from start to finish.
  • Empowering Your Team: Lead, train, and inspire a high-performance warehouse team. Provide mentorship and guidance, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration, ensuring smooth operations throughout the business.
  • Ensuring Consistency: Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and quality at all times.
  • Prioritizing Safety: Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance with all regulations and creating a safe working environment for your team.
  • Managing the Shift: Take full control of managing all aspects of the shift, ensuring optimal productivity and performance.
  • Managing Driver Briefings: Oversee and control all aspects of driver pre- and de‑briefings, ensuring clear communication and seamless operations.
  • Maintaining a Top‑Tier Warehouse Environment: Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and fully compliant with safety standards to create an efficient and professional environment.
  • Upholding Company Standards: Consistently adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring the highest operational standards and integrity.
  • Weekend Engagement: Actively participate in weekend conference calls to stay aligned with key operational developments and share insights on performance and strategic priorities.
