The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer with a proven track record in AWS and system architecture. The ideal candidate will be a key player in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cutting-edge, cloud-native infrastructure. You will be instrumental in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our high-traffic iGaming platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging best practices to ensure high availability and performance.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain our IaC using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of our cloud resources.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Build, manage, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
- System Monitoring and Alerting: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring the health and performance of our platforms.
- Containerization and Orchestration: Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS to manage our microservices-based applications.
- Security: Champion and implement security best practices across our infrastructure and development lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our development teams to foster a strong DevOps culture, providing guidance on architecture and operational best practices.
- Automation: Continuously seek opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the efficiency of our operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive AWS Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and ElastiCache. A deep understanding of AWS networking and security is essential.
- Proven System Architecture Experience: Demonstrated experience in designing and building scalable, high-availability systems in a cloud environment.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Expertise: Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation.
- Strong CI/CD Background: Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Containerization Skills: In-depth knowledge of Docker and experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS.
- Monitoring and Logging: Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, the ELK Stack, or similar.
- Scripting Proficiency: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the iGaming or other high-traffic, low-latency industries.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
- Experience with database management and optimization (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Knowledge of network security and compliance standards.
