My world leading Nottinghamshire based clients are currently seeking an experienced Resistance/Spot Welder to join their incredibly busy and highly proficient team with immediate effect. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to contribute to delivering aerospace products on-quality and on-time, operating in accordance with safety requirements. It is essential that the successful candidate: * Has experience in Resistance/Spot Welding and metal fabrication. * Can demonstrate a flexible and adaptable mind-set and be willing to develop new skills. On the job and classroom training will be provided. * Understands the importance of ensuring a clean and safe environment is maintained in the workplace * Has a professional approach, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels. * Has up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures. * Can demonstrate the practical welding process, with previous aerospace or Titanium welding experience desirable. Responsibilities will include: * Completing practical Resistance/Spot Welding tasks in accordance with the production plan. * Working with a team to deliver customer requirements. * Understanding and identifying basic welding defects. * Understand the importance of equipment calibration, and how it fits into the welding process. * Understand measuring and correcting procedures. Other desirable skills: * Knowledge of quality tools, systems, and procedures, good interpersonal skills, has worked in a customer focused environment that is subject to change, has worked to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and customer delivery commitments, has participated in continuous review and improvement processes. Hours of work * 37 hours per week, operating across a 3 shift rotating pattern (Earlies, Afters and Nights)
